The Ultimate Guide to the best Energy Drinks

The Ultimate Guide to best Energy Drinks

Whether you're a fan of energy drinks or not a fan at all, I'm sure you've had those days or maybe everyday where you just got to wake up. Nothing is working, the coffee isn't getting you going, and a can of Coca Cola, Pepsi or another beverage isn't giving you the boost you need to get through the job or home or wherever you are. Sometimes a good energy drink will provide you with the extra kick you need to take your productivity to the next level. Maybe you need that extra spring in your step or just a little more juice to get your brain wheels spinning. We don't recommend drinking an energy drink every single day but a couple to a few times a week is perfectly fine to help you get going. For those who rely on the same drink over and over such as a cup of coffee in the morning and your afternoon coffee or maybe Tea, or Soda Pop then having an energy drink once or a couple times a week is just fine.

Many people and experts will tell you that energy drinks are chalked full of sugar and caffeine and that maybe true on with a number of energy drinks, but many contain vitamins and nutrients that otherwise aren't consumed in a cup of coffee. Don't always believe everything that others say. Unless you're consuming loads and loads of energy drinks each day or week, then yes, it can be fairly unhealthy to be drinking that much.

Let's start with the healthy route of energy drinks. V8 Energy is a combination of energy drink and vegetable & fruit drink. It has less caffeine than a cup of coffee, but the juice blend gives you a nice healthy boost of energy to help you feel good and not crash at the end of the day.

Monster Energy

The next energy drink on our list that is basically a soda with added nutrients and vitamins is Monster Energy or "Monster Drinks", as many call it. The thing about Monster Energy is you'll find them in just about every convenience store, gas station, mom & pop store and grocery store in the United States. You might even find them in other countries too. They come in a wide variety of colors and flavors and many of them have a delightful flavory zing to them.

Monster Energy also has some zero sugar versions or half the calories as the normal ones. Monster has an original flavor that is unmatched in the overall taste tests. They have fruity flavors, coffee flavors, Java and a number of other juice blended versions. For the variety, Monster wins that part of the contest.

Rockstar Energy

A similar brand to Monster and very close in the taste test area is Rockstar Energy. Rockstar has a little more of a soda feel to it and there's not as many flavors to choose from, but it is a brand that's constantly improving more and more. They do have zero sugar blends and organic versions of the drink too. If you're on the Keto Diet then you could also have this style of energy drink. The price is great too and you can always get a deal as it's a little less in many convenience stores then monster.

Moving over to a basic energy drink that doesn't go real far into numerous flavors or styles. It has just a couple of flavors available, Original flavor and Blue Agave. I guess you could say they are just sticking to the script and not going beyond that. It has many of the same vitamins and minerals of the other energy drinks but has a simple flavor to it.

Mountain Dew Amp Energy

Let's talk about 2 of the least favorite energy drinks on the list that many look down on. They aren't necessarily bad but maybe just for certain people who like that specific brand. First is Mountain Dew Amp. There's actually quite a number of Mountain Dew Amp energy drink flavors available. Some stores have more than others. The gas station, for example has just a few flavors but the grocery store sells more of a variety. You may not like the taste of Amp Mountain Dew original but maybe you haven't picked out the flavor that appeals to you. I guess you could say it's Mountain Dew Soda Pop and half energy drink in a nutshell. The reason why critics and Mountain Dew drinkers have issues with this energy drink is the way the flavors are mixed. It doesn't have a very rich flavor and seems like it's sort of a diet drink. Basically, something is missing from it to give it the flavor it needs.

G-Fuel Energy

Secondly G-Fuel Energy drink is the next drink that doesn't appeal to the average energy drink but more appeals to the video gamer category. Many gamers like G Fuel because it's half energy drink and soda and half sports drink. So, really it's soda, caffeine, sugar and Gatorade. It's supposed to help you feel less jittery during gaming. You'll find that this energy drink is probably the least tasty beverage of all the energy drinks.

Zevia Energy

For those looking for a zero-calorie energy drink then Zevia Sparkling Water could be your choice. But is it really sparkling water? From what the reviews say it tastes more like a soda or pop then sparkling water beverage. Here are the flavors available grapefruit, raspberry lime, mango ginger, kola and possibly one or two others. This one has of course, no sugar or calories of any kind.

Red Bull

How could we write a blog on energy drinks and not include Red Bull. Of course their slogan is, Red Bull gives you wings." Red Bull was an international success in the 90s and then in 1997 it boomed in the USA. Red Bull might be a great energy drink that's less soda pop and more of a slight sparkle but be careful how much you consume. These can be dangerous if you drink to many. Red Bull ingredients include a high amount of caffeine, Citric Acid, Vitamin B12 and several other carbonates.

5 Hour Energy

5 hour energy is not a drink per say, it's a tiny little bottle with a shot of energy in it. They have both a regular and an extra 5 hour energy. It basically gives you a nice little jolt to get you going quickly. We won't talk much more about it but if you don't want to physically drink a full size can of energy then you could always try this product.

Starbucks Triple Shot

Okay coffee drinkers, this one is for you. Starbucks Triple shot is for the coffee enthusiasts and boasts a numerous array of flavors with 225 milligrams of caffeine to really get you going. There's mocha, caramel, french vanilla and others. If you like coffee and don't want to drink an "energy drink" then we suggest, try this one out.

Celsius Energy

As we slowly wrap up the article here, if you're a person who is concerned about what they drink and still need a nice boost of energy. Celsius is most likely a safe option to the energy drink community. This energy beverage has green tea, ginger and guarana as well as other more natural ingredients. These Celsius energy drinks are gluten free, non-gmo and kosher. It also has lots of fruit flavors available too.

NOS Turbo Energy and Bang Energy

Our final two energy drinks are Bang and NOS Turbo. Heavily influenced on Tik Tok, Bang is very widely known but is still behind the competition. Give it more time though and ou'll see Bang Energy grow. Candy Apple Bang is definitely the most notable of the flavors. It supposedly builds muscle too. NOS Turbo is for the racecar driver in you. Joking aside, race car drivers actually enjoy this energy drink beverage and promote it. The main piece of information about Turbo by NOS is the massive caffeine it has in each can. It's worth a try if you're a nascar or indycar fan or maybe need a lot of caffeine. Lastly, it has a number of flavors; mango, grape, punch, sour and turbo.

Let us know in the comments if you want to mention an energy drink that could be a potential for the list. Based on all these factors you could try the ones that sound appealing to you and see what options help you the most.
